This might be a long post.

I've been too busy with my new work. I wake up at 5:30 in the morning and sleep at 12 in the evening. I work from 7:30 a.m. to 10 pm-ish. I'm not a workaholic. I think I just love my job this time. I can't even imagine that I would like programming. I'm bad with logic and I always had incomplete programs wayback in high school. And right now, I think I'm kinda (read: kinda) good with this type of work. And i'm lucky this time, to think that i'm of 25 years of age. I shoul've a regular job already. And alas, I'm starting all over again. Thank God, though, that i've decided to move my career. Damn you broadcast.

I'm spending most of my salary on food. Really. The problem is the food near our area is quite costly. I really have to re-think my expenses. I should start saving once again. I do know that it's fun to spend on food but I should save some for personal things.

We don't have any sound cards in the office (or most of the computers out there). And I was quite lucky to find out that a USB sound card is already available. I saw it from an officemate and decided to buy one myself. Went to CDR-King Rob Galleria... Out of stock. CDRK Podium... Out of stock. CDRK St. Francis... Out of stock. CDRK Megamall... Out of stock. What the? So, my inventive mind went online and called all the branches (the only CDRK's where I know where it is) and found out that it is only available in the DLSU area (to be exact, University Mall). To my extended luck, they have this stock and I have one in my bag right now. Wee!!!!

I may be a techie person but I don't have the budget for those gadgets. (Buti pa si Ais, updated sa ganitong stuff). She has the latest Globe Broadband using USB connection. She has a N80 phone that i'm using for music right now (hehehe). And mix and match with bluetooth and wireless stuff. I'll be having those things in the future.

Still with gadgets, I was planning to buy a N73 music edition (capable of 1500 songs, yeba!) but it was too costly for me at the moment (SRP of 28000 + at Nokia). I'll buy this when it goes down to 12 thou. So, i'll stick with the current phone that I have right now. I checked Bidshot the other day and this one is for sure, I might buy an Ipod Video (the latest one) with 30 gig of movie and music space (SRP of 13000 +). Let's push this technology quite further, I'm excited with Nintendo's Wii. I really do want one. Graphics may be sucky but I really don't care. A wireless joystick and a cheap SRP is a good combination (costs 250 dollars, so it might sell here at around 15000+ pesos). I also do need a gig of memory for my pc and a high end video card.

I didn't notice that it has been more than a week since my last post.

I'm just too damn busy. I haven't got any sleep lately and this work is pressuring me. No reclaims of course.

Anyhoo, I just hate it when you're waiting for something and then once you see or get it youl'll say "yun na yun?"

Let's give an example: Ootp trailer in Happy Feet.

I was so ecstatic last Friday about the Ootp trailer. So, we started watching the trailers and Ootp was shown. And after that I told myself, "That's it?"

And Daniel Radcliffe looked like John Cena of WWE.

And in the end Happy Feet, for me, is a so-so movie. It's a Robin Williams movie.

I got enough sleep today.

Still sleepy. Very sleepy...

I think i'm loving my job now. I mean, this doesn't come overnight. I really have to go through shit and eventually if i'm successful. I'm there.

I just had a reunion with my blockmates way back in college. It was reminiscing to the max and the funny thing is nothing changed. As in. Nothing much has changed. Maybe except some of them are married and worse than married (i don't need to ponder much on that). I found myself thinking in the process. I'm not jealous with one of my blockmates who has been offered 120 thou a month. It really gave me something to think about. And I really do think that i'm going there. I just need focus and hardwork and a little luck and i'll be able to go to the career that I want. I really hope so.

A lot has happened this week. I couldn't remember much. I'll try with all my best and might.

First off, new work. Thank God i'm out of the broadcasting business. No more televisions. No more cable. No more Video City (for the moment). No more games. No more sleep. No more hooky. And no more actors and actresses.

If I stayed with that company, I would amassed a large sum of money that the company would owe me. As of now, I haven't received the following:

- Back-pay.
- Allowance worth 18000 + (it's true).
- Tax refund.
- A certain percentage for the 13th month pay.
- Optional: Certain percentage for the commission that I'm not expecting. They didn't promise me anything about this anyway.

--> Certificate of Employment.

As of now, I really want to sue the company. I'll wait for a month and see what happens. At least I should receive the three things above and let the allowance go into thin air (sayang pa din yan).

That's one of the reasons why I've decided to move on with my career. They can't give you good compensation and almost zilch benefits. They can't offer me anything that could make my career grow. And my brain is in tinseltown most of the time, I should put it into better use.

Right now, a company has decided to accept me as a programmer trainee. They have a bond and I don't care. It just helps me to push myself harder to work.

And all these means less time to slack and enjoy life.

Now, pre-employment is one of the hardest things a worker ant has to pass through. You have to elbow your way into the different offices of the government.

Going to the NBI office is hard. It used to be along Taft avenue but now it's inside one of the Carriedo buildings near the Quiapo church. On your way there (NBI is on the fourth floor or third... I think) you'll pass by stalls full of pirated Dvds. Ironic isn't it? But getting the NBI clearance is much easier than getting a license from the LTO (damn you slow and corrupt government employees).

Having a Police Clearance is shady at first. I once had a bad experience with these third party employees and i was expecting i'll receive the same BS. I was partly wrong. Well, it was a hassle for me at first because I went there on November 2nd and they were closed at 2:30 in the afternoon. It was quite understandable. Government. I checked out the requirements. Barangay Clearance???? Again? Shucks.

So, the following day I went to our Barangay hall and tried to get a Barangay clearance. The employee asked me if I have a voters ID. I told him I didn't receive any paper when I voted last May elections. So he asked me if I knew anybody from our place. I name dropped the name of my dad. The powers that be. And no more questions were asked right after. He gave me a Barangay clearance and a sedula worth 37.50. A sedula is worth 12 pesos only instead of those 'bootleg' sedulas found at different parts of our continent. They are worth 15 pesos.

I finally went to the Police station. Paid 25 pesos for the application and 80 pesos for the actual Police clearance. I paid 115 for the NBI clearance btw.

In all of these why is it that the LTO is requiring a much bigger sum of payment than with its goverment counterparts. And the time. God! The time. I've applied my driver's license last May and up until now, I haven't got the card yet. I went to that Godforsakenplace for five times or more already. I think.

Going back to the pre-employment stories, I also got a free medical check-up courtesy of my new company (hooray for this). I think the hatest part was the drug testing. I never knew the drug testing would require a lot of BS before you gave them your urine. And the CBC was glorious. No pain. Really. I wanna get a CBC again.

For other matters, I was riding the MRT the other day and my creative mind was filled. Here're the type of people I see in an MRT train who is standing (Dizzy? Sorry...)

~Surf-boarder - These are the passengers who are standing that doesn't hold on to anything. I do this most of the time. Balancing my two preciouses in the process.

~Body-hugger - Don't you just hate these type of people. Once they hold on a post they would start to hug it and feel as if they were lovemaking the pole. I hate them because I can't hold on to any free space on the pole and I don't want to touch the person hugging the pole. When this happens I end up being a Surf-boarder (Dude!).

~User-friendly - Most elderly do this. They hold on to you instead of the pole. This is fine if it's understandable. It's not fine if this person is doing some advances on you.

~Statue - We hate these people. The world revolves around these people. They don't care if you're passing through them. They won't budge. A good strategy for these people is to fake a cold and try to get them to catch one of your sneezes.

~Spoiled brat - Worse than the body-hugger. They just want everything and every space that they can see. They think they're in a taxi or they're in the leisures of their homes. A sucker punch is good for these people.

~Box-out - Just like the Spoiled Brat. But why do they have to touch you? Why?

~Acrobat - Do I have to explain further?

~Ma'am-may-I-go-out - I know. I know. The monicker is quite cheesy. But I think this should be included in the seven deadly sins. Really. Especially the construction workers who has B.O. and they would raise their arms. And... And... Boom!

2. Memory card for the PC - 1 Gig or 2 Gig worth of precious memory. DDR400 or SDR3200 pls?
3. Wireless headphones - I love music. Do you? I really do think you do too. This is good when i'm taking a dump.
4. 5.1 or 7.1 speakers - I want to rock our house down.
5. MP4 player - I miss watching movies.
6. Dvd writer - Extending my piracy services.
7. Wireless telephone - A wire is my waterloo.
8. Eyeglasses - A sleek and trendy one for me.

Thank God I got a copy of The Aristocrats (Finally!) yesterday. It really took some time for me to find a good copy. Anyhows, The Aristocrats is a movie-documentary about a long-running joke in the western hemisphere. It goes like this. A family, consists of a husband, wife, two children, and a dog, enters an office of an entertainer agent and told him that they have an act. They showed him the act and at the end they called their act "The Aristocrats!". The catch is the middle part of the joke. You have to include the most lewd, most disgusting, and most offensive acts that you can think of in the story.

Before you continue reading, a warning: R-18 mode. Don't read if you don't want to get offended.

Here's my example:

A family consisting of a father, a mother, a sister, a brother, and a dog entered an agent's office and told him that they have an act. The agent said what's the act about? So, the father removed his clothes and ripped the clothes of his wife. He fucked her everywhere. As in everywhere. Then, he removed the clothes of his children and they also fucked. And they all performed incest while crapping. All the crap that fell into the floor were smothered by the dog... I think I don't need to expound the story more. And then the father tells the agent "We call our act 'The Aristocrats'".

That's it. You have to watch the movie to get it.

I just watched a Pirates of the Carribean (or is it caribbean?) 2 and it made me wonder... Are we, as Filipinos, part of the pirate era? If ever the pirate era was true, did we join the escapades against the four powers of the colonial era?

Wouldn't it be cool if we were once pirates? Imagine heaps of treasure under the Chocolate Hills or inside the Mount Banahaw territory? We could also be the so-called natives that these pirates are pursuing like the Mayas and the Incas. We could have lots and lots and lots of Gold and Silver. Wait... we are full of these. We just don't know how to go them.

Wouldn't it be nice if our vintas raced with the pirate sloops and frigates? I do hope we have pirate blood. It would be really cool. Let's say a foreigner asks you "What is your ancestry?". And you answer, "Oh! It's part Filipino and part Pirate!!!!... and a pinch of Dalmatian."

How about the names? Davy Jones, One-eyed Pete, and other cool pirate names. We could have Ambong Tatlong-bayag or Namutee Saarawan. We could've probably had those pirate'y names.

I really believe that we are from the Pirate ancestry. Look at Quiapo. Very piratey. The place where I got Pirates 2.

I'm praying hard right now for my career "growth". I've been absent for the past three days. MOnday is ready-to-take-a-test day. Tuesday, I took a test in a software company. Earlier, I took another test in a very well-known local company (ask Kris and Manny). Tomorrow, i'll be having an interview with that software company.

I'm interested with the software company due to the free training that they are going to give me. Hoping i would get a java training. That is so fine it'll blow my mind. Hey mickey.

So, second F.O.Q. was Aladdin the movie main characters. I thought of Jasmine, Aladdin, Abu, Jafar, the King, carpet, and that tiger. Only one person got it right.

In addition, we also saw hardbound copies of The Da Vinci Code and Men are from Mars... cheap.

I was a Moa virgin.

Me and my baby & B1 and B2 went on a malling trip, we went there individually and eventually met up at places we don't know where, @ Mall Of Asia yesterday. It wasn't really hard to go there so you'll expect a lot of people especially hologs, excuse me for the term.

At first we ate and then we've circled the place. It was really tiring I tell you. Why don't they have seats there? In order to seat you have to be in a store or you have to be outside. Ergo, no aircondition.

We were still in our malling mode when we checked out Booksale. Saw Cecille V there. Clueless still but bearable. We met Eyen the last and she told us she's standing under the movie-"something" sign. We found out there were three of these.

Then, we've decided to watch a movie but before that:











Yep. We we in time for Hale's second album launch. Thank God we were able to catch up. I only did this for my baby who loves Hale so much. Because of the music? or because of the lead? The hell do I care. We were able to autograph a poster but it's way bigger than my scanner so scrap that.

Moving on to the last part of our malling. We watched Talladega Nights. I recommended this because I know this was a number one in the U.S. box office for a week or two. They were all skeptic.

And I was right. One of the funniest films i've seen. We were laughing all throughout the film. Hats off to Mr. Will Ferrell. One hell of a funny movie. Very recommended to everyone who just wants to laugh. Even John C. Reilly was funny in this movie.

And then we went home. Duh.

My baby and I went to Dek's lomo gallery at the Marikina Shoe Expo in Cubao last night. It was quite a story.

You see, I've decided to go there at an early hour of eleven in the evening. So, we got there at around eleven and I told my baby that I don't remember where C.O.D. or where the gallery is. We almost walked near Gateway but i've decided to ask a guard and questioned where Puregold is. To my stupidity we've passed it on our way. We got back and looked for something. I told myself that I should look for something noisy, remembering that there are performers singing in the gallery launch.

And I was right, thank God. In addition, it was also raining last night which made the night very interesting.

Anyhows, the place was filled with photographers, artists, and kibitzers. I've seen oh so too many faces. Bubu was there (Dek: Dador's friend), Jed Quaimbao (a fellow lomo enthusiast and Miriam Quaimbao's sister), Gab (PNE), RA Rivera (Pedicab), and Lourds de Veyra (Radioactive...). And this other fugly guy. If you watch Strangebrew more often than watching That's Entertainment, you'll probably remember this guy. In the show, there were Tado and Erning and these two extras. If you remember the Dyesebel episode in Strangebrew, the one who made-pasan the Dyesebel. God, that was hard.

Anyhows, congrats Dek for the lomo-ism in you and the gallery (I really can't determine which pictures are yours) and hello to Ella too.

Looks like i'm going to be hooked again on tv. Remember Survivor? The one sung by that trio... Wait... Not that one. I mean the television show. The one where the first winner walked naked... *groan*.

Anyhows, they've turned racist... in a good way. There are four tribes (?) which consists of Asians, Latinos, Black Americans, and I forgot the other one. And hooray for us Pinoys! Two Filipinos are on the Asian side.

I'm partly excited with the latest season of Survivor.

When fear factor was first aired, I was instantly hooked. I love the tests and the food and everything.

And then.... pfft. Didn't like it anymore.

So I was channel surfing one work afternoon and passed by Axn. Saw Fear Factor with reality tv show pairs as their contestants. Fast forward to my point...

Remember Jonathan and his wife on the Amazing Race? The fighting couple??? Well, Fear Factor just got better. You see, the Jonathan's wife got upset by not finishing their task (the one with the skull and the alligator). Now, this wife punched (with all her might) an a-hole contestant (or somekindalikethat) who kept on mocking them. The host then scolded Jonathan's wife. Obviously, Jonathan defended her wife.

And then the host and Jonathan fought each other... physically. And they showed it on air.

Finally had to be a trainor at channel four earlier. It was very awkward. I felt like I was teaching monkeys how to eat a banana. I mean, i'm not a Char-gen (Character Generator) operator but I trained them (basic only) with the software of Avid Deko 1000. They have a lot of questions that are related to their field that I cannot answer. I just answered them with smiles and nods. Thank God they understand that I was able to learn the software for two days only and I just forwarded to them what i've learned.

What irked me is that they asked me a lot of questions that they know I wouldn't able to answer. And they aren't even interested in learning new programs and machines.

Hooray for my dentist. My teeth cleaning for this year is finished and I might encounter some dentist stops in the coming months.

I told her I had three outstanding phobias. Fear of needles, fear of dentists, and fear of self-induced blood. And looky-looky, three out of three every time I go to the dentist or the possibility of three out of three phobias when I visit the dentist.

I really don't know how I evolved dentists' phobia.

I just find it stupid when companies impose on stupid things or rules.

Take MRT for example, they said that canned goods and any bottled water could be considered a threat. They are the so-called ingredients to make some bomb or atomic fart or whatever.

If i'm willing to blow MRT apart there are many ways to do it and I don't need to use any canned good, bottled water, or mami noodles.

This story happened to me last Monday.

So there I was, doing my usual Video City chore. Since V.C. rents eight bucks per betamax, I always go with the maximum number of rented betamaxes. Around ten tapes.

I was holding around a stack of eight betamaxes when this guy asked me, "May Saving Private Ryan kayo?". I asked, "Ha?". He said "May Saving Private Ryan kayo?". I only answered, "Customer din po ako dito. Nanghihiram din ako.".

I was just surprised with what happened to me. I wasn't insulted at all. I may even tell him where the tape is placed. I can even arrange the entire store with the proper genre.

I analyzed it when I went back to my office. I thought that I was asked because of the stack of tapes. And maybe that's it. He didn't even notice that employees of V.C. are wearing red and i'm wearing a striped earth-colored shirt. Unless of course, if he is a dog then he would be colorblind.

And when I was paying for the betamaxes, he was at my back. He never looked at me. Might be ashamed of what he did.

No worries.

I just hate that damn Quezon circle. I went to channel four earlier to do my job. And what I did was, I rode a jeep up to City Hall and then I walked the circle counter-clockwise. And when I got home, I should've walked clockwise.

Anyhoo's, watched Sukob earlier. The story behind it. Last week Kevin informed me that I will be watching movies again courtesy of Naja. So, I checked it out and yes I am going to watch it again. So, I told my soulmate about it. And we planned the event for this week. Fast forward to two days ago. Naja was really busy with her work so there's no certainty about our meet for the tickets. And then fast forward again. She called me earlier about the tickets. She told me that i'll be the one getting the tickets @ jam 88.3. I told her I can't go due to my work. So, I told her that a lot of Beerkadets are interested with the tickets. I don't know who got the tickets. I just want to thank Naja for something even though I didn't get the tickets.

Now, Sukob. So my SM and I watched it earlier. It was quite frightening but I wasn't harmed in any way unlike my SM who kept on crunching my fingers and hand. I still find Feng Shui scarier than this movie. But this is for sure, the movie is worth watching in a movie-theatre. Just two things that I want to rant. Over-make-up and "leading men". Bernard Palanca going nice? C'mon. How about Wendell Ramos? U-huh.

I'm in pain right now. I think I have a problem with my third molar. I asked my dentist-doctor about it. And she told me I need to extract it out (with her help of course). It would cost me around two to two thousand five hundred pesos. Is her fee fair?

I just hope after two weeks this problem would just go away.

I was able to catch last night's televised concert by the Black Eyed Peas. I really love them. I am so proud of Apl and I really love their songs. Even though that I hate channel 2, I would like to thank them for showing that concert. What irked me is this, well ever since this has been my pet peeve, I just hate those people who buys ringside tickets and when you see them watching the concert they don't look like they are enjoying the ride. I mean what's the point of buying tickets costing 5 grand when you just stand there and listen. What is wrong with you people? That is not a Pavarotti concert or a piano recital. That is a "hip-hop" concert, where you should jump for joy and enjoy the damn concert. There's this channel seven talent who just stood there smirking. I don't know if he's enjoying the concert or whatever. At least Pia Guanio and that pretty girl actress with Angelina Jolie's lips are enjoying the concert. I just wish that these people would just stay at the upper box section or just stay home and listen to your cd.

If I had money that time I would've watched it live.

And Fergie's bottle throwing farewell speech ain't nice. Just a thought.

Of an LTO.

Finally I got my renewed license driver or is it driver's license last friday. Here's the story.

I woke up at 9 am and went to the nearest LTO office. A few blocks away from Ever Ortigas. I learned that LTO opened at 8am. I should've been earlier.

Once I get there, it was good. I mean the assistance booth really assisted people unlike other government offices who only knew how to pass the question to their co-officemates. So, it all started. They gave me a form for medical and drug testing.

Off I go to the droogs. It took me quite some time there. I stupidingly forgot that I should piss for the drug test. I took a piss before I went out. So, I had to buy almost two bottles of liquid. First, I got off and drank and cough syrup and then a bottle of vodka. Nah... Distilled water and C2. And I only filled the vial less than half. Thank God the doctor was kind or else I should've stayed there for an hour.

And then... what medical test? I went on to have an eye test. Ok, the person-in-charge there was quite pretty but if a person is pretty it doesn't mean that you have to be conceited. Right? I mean I could've been more beautiful than her if I were a girl.

Cost: Two fifty for the drug test and fifty for the eye test.

Then, hell came.

Went back to the assistance booth and asked what to do next. I have to go to the Xerox booth to get a form. I went there and asked for a renewal form and then this "official employee" started "harassing" me. I may be harsh with words but I find it proper.

Cost: Three bucks for a freaking piece of photocopied paper.

So, the gay O.E. interrogated me and he even filled up my form. Isn't it nice. Now, here's the thing. Do I look like i'm rich or something? I mean why is it that I'm usually a target for these occassions???

So, he told me that he has a sister inside and I should pay 480 for the processing fee. In addition, a 100 for the "lagay" and an additional 30 for him. Since, i'm so fucking galant I added 20 for his sister and 20 for him. A total of 650.

And then I waited.

Got called early for the picture. And then went to the C.R. to piss (Cost: 2 bucks). and went back to take my picture again because the L.T.O. person messed up or something.

And then I waited. And waited. And lunch break came. And did I say... I still waited?

So, finally paying people were called and guess. I was called to pay the fee. Cost: 264 pesos only. I still paid the amount and went straight to the gay O.E. I asked him why do I have to pay again? He told me that I shouldn't have paid anything since I'm already paid. So, we went to see his sister and found out that she was looking for me all along. So the 264 that I paid were returned and I got home.

Advantages: I still got home early somehow. I think the other applicants waited for an additional two hours or so.
Disadvantage: Isn't it obvious?

Usually, you'll get the same answer from everybody. Be yourself. So how far is yourself being yourself? Right? I mean if you watched Hitch, every guy should be considered. 10. Ecoquest 2: One of the few games that I first played using my 286 pc with 27Mb worth of Hard disk. The game was quite funny and at the same time educational.

9. Indy Crusade and Indy Atlantis: I placed them here even though that the gameplay is enormously good. I did that because I never finished Crusade and I just played Atlantis. And I don't like boxing in point and click adventure games.

8. Monkey Island 1 and 4: 1 because of the story, the MI series has the best story for a game, and 4 because I just hate 3d animation for adventure games. Bring back 2d animation.

7. Sam & Max: I've just played this game around 2 years ago and walkthrough was included so I placed this here.

6. Legend Of Kyrandia 3: Funny, funny game. I just love clowns. What's the downside? Things tend to disappear after you use them ergo you have to save and load. A lot.

5. Grim Fandango: Ok, I take it all back. 3d found a heart in me. Great story. And lot's of dead people.

4. Leisure suit Larry: Love For Sail: Very green game. Funny at the same time. I just liked the part when Larry dies.

3. Monkey Island 3: I love the game. I love the story. I love the animation. I love the ship battles. I love Guybrush Threepwood.

2. Monkey Island 2: One of the first few games that I fell in love with. Played it second most. If only they made this like the animation of MI3, it could've been my number one.

1. Day Of the Tentacle: Where do I start. This is the bestest and greatest game ever made. Who cares about the old school graphics. Who cares about the 15 Mb total file of the game? Where can you find aliens, Bernard Bernoulli, George Washington, that dead guy, Laverne, Benjamin Franklin, Hoagie (not the sandwich) and hubcaps all in one? Don't forget the talking horse.

Before I continue, I've just seen Trainspotting a few weeks ago. One of the best druggie films ever. I just love the way they made the film.

I've just started watching the series of Kubrick films that I borrowed from handsome and beautiful people. Naks. And I really find A Clockwork Orange one of my best films of all time.

Given the circa of the film, it didn't fail to fade to now. Maybe this could make an ageless classic.

You see, i'm not a person who watches violence or rape scenes much. I'm a comedy type of person. But I believe that most Brit films or most European films, whatever the theme is, are prepared with a little dazz of wit and humor.

I'm not expecting this film to be available in the Philippines. Violence, unnecessary rape scenes, and that disturbing image of Christ. Very, very disturbing indeed. I do hope they aren't Catholics.

I wasn't that prepared but i've managed to go through the film. Although a low middle part, I think it prepares the viewer to the end part of the film.

Kubrick really deserves an award for this movie. Very brilliant mind.

A film that makes an antagonist to protagonist. A film that includes beutiful music. A film that is full of color.

What's to talk about in that area? Well, for starters, there are too much sex in the cinema today. Thank God there aren't any of that in The Da Vinci Code (mucher thanker to God that no brokeback happened in the mentioned movie also).

I just find it too much. I mean I really do think that teens right now, well some of most of them, are sexually active. What's wrong with today's generation (so, Father Jay-r, what else do you want to complain?)? I mean they don't even care if they would fuck-up (excuse moi for the term). As long as they get a Freudian they're ok with it. That's why we see unwed mothers, left and right. Is it with the food we eat?

I personally believe it is with our friend, media. Funny thing is we try to get that colonial mentality shit when we ourselves can't even comprehend with it.

I've been trying to make a "meme" last year. 1000 movies. And i'm 30 movies away from it. Actually it's more of a 22 movies away from it. That's why i'm suddenly obssessed with movies.

BUT... during the process I have learned to "love" movies. I learned to understand how movies go and how it should work. Right now I'm looking for movie masterpieces. Maybe some Kubrick or Miyazaki or Kurosawa. I don't know.

Speaking of movies, 2006' line-up of movies suck. Haven't you noticed it yet? I mean we are half-way in 2006 and every film seems sucky. Good promotion but the movie would eventually suck. 2005 is a good year for movies.

I just had 7 movies and 3 episodes of Alias last Monday. I really would like to thank the people who lended me their movies. Very well appreciated. Right now, I am having a hard time looking for movies that I really want to watch. Doesn't sound too feasible to buy movies online if your budget is on a thrifty level.

Just seen the reformatted (they just love to reformat shows) Game Ka Na Ba? It was very interesting and I love the flow of the game even though that the game is fast-paced. I wanna join.

Level one is like a gameboard I played before. The concept is very similar and it is very challenging.

Level two is same as before. They've just evened the odds for everybody.

Level three is taken, I think, from Nuts Entertainment. It was nice though.

And the last part is like a mixture of Wheel Of Fortune and I don't know the other one.

I slept @ around 3 am in the morning before the sun rised and before the moon has set. I've been scanning a lotsa lotsa pictures of past choir activities.

Had a hard time singing. We had new songs for Janice's wedding. Update: Five songs have been practiced. Will sing again this coming Friday.

More choir thingies: Before Jerlene leaves to Australia, we planned an Enchanted Kingdom trip in August. We hope this pushes through.

Moving on to the Bowlkada we had earlier. I took the second place win earlier and won a pringle and a button. Yey! Thanks very much to the organizers. Hugs!!!! Thanks also for the "gifts" that I got from Jinky. And dvds from Naja.

It was really nice to see you again guys. After six months? It was really fun. In addition, I apologize for being self-centered. I think I talked much earlier. Maybe its the rice.

So we lost. We didn't lost by 5 or 10 points. We just lost by around 3590 points only. The final score was 3650 over 60. Or was it 3550? I just can't remember. Whatever happens, there's no excuse for this. We lost. And we congratulate them for their good win. At least no Gryffindor or Slytherin in the lead. Psychologically, we helped the Ravenclaws to the first place.

Our team fought a great fight. The greater team won.

And we really don't care. We enjoyed the game.

First off, that taxi in Makati.

Our taxi had engine problems in Makati and I was tasked to be the back-car driver. Okay, what is a back-car driver? He drives the car that is made-hatak-hatak by the car in front when the car at the back had problems. That's it. I never knew that a back-car driver is freaking hard. Especially when the brakes of the back-car had some problems. It was really fun though. Driving a back-car is fun. Try it.

Next, x-men adventure for the third time.

I watched X-men's last stand, sadly, last Thursday. All in all the movie kinda sucked. Well, semi-sucked. Really sucked. Sucked in all aspects. Let's go to the story, they mixed the Dark Phoenix Saga and Mutant Cure story. What's wrong with that? Everything. You can use one movie for the Phoenix saga and one movie for the Mutant Cure story. You don't just mix the two. It made the movie overkilled with x-men universe characters. No focus for the story. How about the mutants used? Killed Cyclops? Killed Charles? Made Mystique human and don't forget her "protege" Rogue too? What's up with that? Just to fill in the trilogy shit, as in made it the "last" x-man movie? Groan... How about mutant powers? Why is it that when Cyclops removed his ruby glasses and aimed it at the river/lake, had focus? It is a rule that when Cyclops removes his glasses, the optic beam goes haywire. How about Wolverine's mutant healing powers? Is it really that fast? Should've take longer. But who cares? Right? The movie is not for us geeks. It is for everybody's pleasure. How about the last part? Where the six "Super" X-men defended against a hundred mutants? Are they that good? God. Don't they know that one Omega Red can kick those protagonists' ass all the way to the moon? Or even Magneta (I call him Magneta from now on because of Madam Ian Mckellen), can overkill them. But nooo.... the protagonists still won the battle. Fantasy to the high level, the hero can't lose in the end.

I have more rants with the movie but I don't need to state them all here. And even though the movie sucked, I would still give the movie a 7. Seeing Stan Lee at the start of the movie rocked.

How do you know if you are the only geek in the moviehouse? When you are the only person who knows Stan Lee... and don't forget the real name and the nickname of each x-men character in the movie.

Every time I go home I see these things. Things that people don't usually see. Of course, most of them are checking about their daily stuff and shit. But for me, I try to see things differently. I try to challenge people and I know they would give me one response. It is nice to expect things from them. Because I could say that I am right all along. Negative or not.

I'm trying to collect things for my "stand-up" chuva chenes. For now, I have 3 original pieces. Or four? I have to write those things down. And I need an audience so that I know how it sucked. I really find stand-up comedians fascinating. I watch specials by Chris Rock, guests of David Letterman and those shows in Jack Tv.

I know. I know. I'm losing focus here. I should be trying to look for a job and shit but i'm trying to take things out of my mind.

Of some things I learned in life.

I have a lot of things that i've learned already but still I fumble. Is this God's way of telling me that I really am human after all. Or that I am human and you have no right to do things on your own.

I remember when I mixed green mangoes and milk. It is the worst feeling of my life. Literally.

I can't really mention anything out. So, I'd probably place a lot of pseudonyms and other things because, for me, it is the right thing to do.

Even though living "almost" a goodie two shoe life you'll still elbow things that you don't expect. Like discrimination and stuff because of your appearance, etc.

I may be just in my 25 year old life but it felt that i've been living for a hundred years already. The problem is I think I'm not accepting the fact that i'm an adult. I still feel like a child. Or maybe I still am immature and I haven't move on with things.

Or I moved on but things are complicated.

I mean I am still young and I get my life on complicated things. That shouldn't be the case. Right?

I can't believe it. I've been riding along the tide from southwest to east without any paddle. It really is damn hard. You don't know where you're going. You don't know how to get there. The only thing that you can do is jump or paddle. Eventually paddling is the only way to go through all the corals, fishes, underwater mammals, and shipwrecks.

I may say that it wasn't easy. Up until now. I guess it will never will be.

Sometimes, or most of the time, you just have to look back. At first a great burning sensation hits you with a high-degree burn. Eventually you'll be able to take all of that crap and smile. But it doesn't end there. It still continues. Maybe, father time would help me in the end. Certainty is not the answer. Maybe, change is one of the leading answer of the question. Trying to adapt to it. Maybe hard. Maybe not. But as i've said, life is one big expedition.

I guess we all go to this cycle called life. But why does it go to the other side when you don't want it to go there. I mean is it possible for the buoy to stay afloat?

Not for me, i'm so scared right now for opium. I might try to be addicted to some other things. But not opium. Not Mj. Not stone. Maybe in the future. Not near. Far future. I don't believe, right now, in that kind of shit. Withdrawal from it is so brain damaging.

I dreamt I was being interviewed in a tsismis show (the one where Richard and Pia are hosts). And it felt like i'm a celebrity.

Okay. For me it wasn't worth it.

A hundred and sixty bucks for a movie should be really special and I should've bought a pirated instead. Or went to a cheaper cinema, the one's that cost a hundred bucks.

I'm talking about the da vinci code.

I'm dwelling on something here right now. When I watch a film, should I be educated or entertained? Or both?

Does it affect me when somebody gives her view of the movie? You see, a well-respected teacher of DLSU (naks! respected si tita) gave her rant on a forum and it really affected me. I mean if she found the movie boring then I might find it boring too.

And she was right.

The movie is/was entertaining and that's it. Inconsistencies on a lot of things, wrong script, and maybe wrong editing. I know that the director and the writers and the actors are well respected but what if the hype is overwhelming and the movie just gives you a big let down? I would say that I would rate it with 6.5 out of 10 stars only.

What is wrong in the movie? Or what are?

First, Robert Langdon. He should be funny and somekindanerdy. Not that too confident though. Then, why is it that Tom Hanks didn't get Robert Langdon's charm? He was almost too serious throughout the length of the movie and his punchlines aren't punchlines at all.

Second, the puzzle part. What the hell happened to the cryptex? And other parts where the audience would feel that they would also solve the puzzles in the "movie"? It was all given. As if all the answers where falling in the sky one by one. The novel was greatly changed but these things are the exciting stuff in the novel. That's why people like me liked it.

Third, the louvre. It was very bitin. What happened here? It wasn't given that chance to be seen by people like me who would take years (or maybe not) to visit. Even though that it is a movie, at least they should have given some spotlight for the louvre. Maybe, the movie would be too bookish. What the hell.

Fourth, the teacher. Now, the Dan Brown trademark has been removed. What happened here? One hour left and you are telling everybody who the teacher is? C'mon. Do you still call this a mystery movie? Buti pa ang Scream at ang I Know What You Did Last Summer. At least dun last 20 minutes nila malalaman yung antagonist.

Fifth, the Bishop and the albino. The connection of the two in the movie is not that great. That's why the support of these characters weren't given much emphasis? But why? Would we find this boring? I would find it boring but if I hadn't read the book and found Bishop's face at the end. I would find it really questionable? Brokeback Opus Dei. Nice.

Lastly, the last part. What happened to the brother? It doesn't bother me much though when the Priory arrived. That was a nice ending but the part where the grandmother has to be a star in the end didn't shone so much. This movie should be about people finding lost relatives and there should've been a teary-end scene here.

There. I said it all. It is entertaining. But not that educational. I really hate it when I expect too much in a film and find it disatisfying in the end.

Kudos to Sir Ian Mckellen only. Tom Hanks is boring. Audrey is just alright. Jean Reno became soft-hearted in the middle of the film. Silas (was it Paul Bettany?) doesn't look like an albino (the make-up can be easily seen). Remy is just Remy. And Collet, Collet who?

All in all, I'm not satisfied in the movie. Hell, Robert didn't end up with Sophie and they should be. Oh well. This just proves that reading a book is better than watching a movie.

If ever they are going to make Angels and Devils into a movie, they should make this damn good.

As a click and point "addict" gamer, I was saddened with what I found out this week. (This is old news). Lucasarts won't be releasing adventure games anymore. They are focusing on the Star Wars genre. And that last game, Grim Fandango, is really nice.

Also, Sierra is officially a name only. So, no more quest for glory. No more Kyrandia. Etc. But Leisure Suit Larry still exist.

Now, when will these games come back? It would be better if a new company came up with new titles and forget RPG for a while.

You should watch this.

This is one of the funniest films I've seen this year.

Even though the movie is puppet-ed, a lot of violent and sexual scenes are shown. There's even a sex scene. Astig diba?
