Of a basketball game follow-up.

mood: still isleyfi

An update to DLSU Asst. Manager Manny Salgado's back-punching incident. He gave an apology and at the same time the UAAP board gave him a lifetime ban in the UAAP. For me, that's ok. I think he deserved it. Everyone has a choice and he chose to be a sore-loser. Sorry Lasallians for this comment.

On another lighter note:

DLSU should have won the game. The final score should be 76-75. 3 points kasi yung batok ni Salgado kay Arwind.

Of a basketball game.

mood: still sleepy

That was a bad move by a Lasallian. It was very un-Lasallian for that old fellow. I guess old people can be immature sometimes. Wait. Basketball can make a person immature.

Apologies to the Feu pips. That was a good game.

But still I realized, those are the breaks of the game. I still hope that there would be a game three.

On a lighter note, joke time...

Of a legal case.

mood: wee!

Looks like I'll be having my first legal case. The defendant is so brave even though that all the points are against him. I don't know about him, he keeps on saying that I was the one at fault but, obviously, I think so otherwise. Now, i'll be waiting for the letter for our hearing. Let's see if he can handle this one. I sure hope I get a good lawyer.

The fiscal is still wondering why we have to push this through. That's called delicadeza man.

I just hope we would win this battle...

Of a few thoughts VII.

mood: numb

We went to the hospital today. Brought my mom due to high-blood pressure. We cannot bring her to any hospital or clinic because of her allergies. And actually, she had high-blood since lunch time wherein I had to go on a half-day too to bring her home. Thank God the doctors in this shift are better than the ones that we had before. It only took us around two hours before we went home.

My mom's okay. I think.

As usual, i would probably watch the game in a boob tube. But if my mom acquires me a ticket from her officemate, it would be a different ballgame. Wait. I don't want to watch it live on the first game. Probably the second or the last game of the season.

Good luck Archers! Animo La Salle!

Additional: Congratulations to Renault and Alonso. Astig!

Life's injustices will be balanced in the afterlife.

Of a food entry.

mood: semi-depressed

Just wanted to share this deluftouous treat from Nescafe (neskape):

Cocktail (hehe) Banana Cooler

Ingredients:
2 pcs. Banana Lacatan, sliced
1 305ml. Milkmaid Rscm
2 cups water
1 tbsp. cocoa powder
1 tsp. Nescafe Classic
shaved ice (ha? shaved? is it possible, use rubie II blades for better perfomance)

Procedure:
Put all ingredients in a blender jar. Whisk for about 5 minutes or until frothy (kulay puti daw). Pour into individual tall glasses (paano kung dwarf yung iinom?)

And have you guys heard that french fries from fastfood chains in America are now labeled with a medical warning? They found out that these tasty treats cause cancer.

There goes my hamburger meal.

oh yes... i lost my fun mojo again.

Of a long Saturday.

mood: tired
movies watched the past week: house of flying daggers; closer; john q; i am sam; heist; children of the corn; hide and seek; anak ni janice (hehe); mary poppins; one tough cop; confessions of a teenage drama queen

This entry could be a long one. So, bear with me.

Okay. I had to go to two different events yesterday and thank God it was a success. Another "thank God" for making the two events possible for me to get through.

Let's go to event number one: Kai's post-birthday treat.

I hate Greenhills. Promise. It really is hard to look for certain place in that area. I just have to stick with my kutob skills to get to my destination. Well, it's kutob and basic instructions for me, I just want to be clear. So, off I went to Greenhills and looked for Promenade. Gusto kong sumayaw ng Promenade para lumapit sa kin yang Promenade building na yan. Eventually I got to Gerry's Grill in one piece and saw the humongous beerkadet group. Err... humongous? Only three of them were there: Kai (+ the boylets), Kevin, and Ilenz. So, I was kind early this time. I just found out that Lyndons' late habit has expanded to its readers. Thanks a lot, man *snicker*. Eventually, a few more others came after around an hour or two. At least, we didn't have to wait for you guys or i've been dead by now. I made my escape at four in the afternoon.

Notes:
> The Tingler thingie. I guess i'm the tingleman? Doesn't sound right.
> The certain person bashing hour.
> The jellybean conspiracy. Tip for eating a multi-flavored jellybean bunch: eat 5 pieces at a time to avoid certain flavors.
> Thanks to Jinky-tanda for the Beerlenium book (I am istil enthralled noh for giving me that.).
> Thanks to Paula for her beans.
> Thanks to Kai for the wonderfulicious treat. Sa uulitin? har har.
> Thanks to Naja for the debede. Is this trade permanent? *wicked, bad, evil grin*.
> Thanks to beerkadets and the not-so for the company.
> Thanks to Lyndon for the... nah...

... yeah yeah... the commemorative Leandro Voldermort Phallus 9000 broom drawing.

Lastly, the second event: Soundzskool (insert echo here 6 taymis.) in Ultra.

Pre-program, met the Coms group plus the ampon... err...the fifth man (now, we can be called the Bioman... we are red napkin 1, green minded 2, blue balls 3, yellow floater 4, and pink... *you know what* 5.) at the Mega. The B-sisters tried our stalker skills but it didn't really work that much. Too bad for them. Hehehe. Don't forget Beejay's follow-up for that. We were actually going to leave you that time, good for you you've shown up. We also ate the worst Jollibee food ever, the newly released Pinoy Bistek Burger. Yuck.

Entrance proper, a very long line for us to be part of but we were quite lucky because Criscel is the leader of some punkista group. So, we were able to cut the line. Around 500 plus people were cut off. Thanks to her. Really. I would say that this event has the best security that i've ever seen. Big bouncers everywhere. Military police with high-powered guns. It was war. Luckily for us with good social stature we were able to enter Ultra without any hassles. Well, in my case, they confiscated my precious pedicure paraphernalia (my nipper and nailcutter). It was very nice to hear their gay gestures to me. I accepted it with wide arms and legs. Don't forget the free radio that was given to everybody (i think.).

The program started with A-series-of-unfortunate-jokes Juddah Paolo and I-swear-these-are-real Karel Marquez as hosts. They sucked as hosts (that includes the floor director, the sound director, and the director). And the sucky hosts also announced the winners of the Nescafe gift packs. To our group's luck, Criscel and Beejay won. Thanks to Beej for the milk came from you *snicker*.

And the nine finalists are composed of nine different colleges and universities (they were represented). And the schools are:
DLSU - Firelane. (who placed second in the Texter's choice award, and the first goes to another DLSU band. Thanks to the DLSU haters out there. Animo La Salle!) Who were not that good.
Kalayaan College - Hilera. A contender for the top spot.
ADMU - I really didn't remember the name of their band for obvious reasons. Boo.
St. Jude College - Carpie Diem. A good Bamboo band. Anothe contender for the top spot. Could win it.
CSB - Wake Up Your Seatmate. Tried an Alanis classic. Should've played a Loeb instead.
JRU - I forgot the name. Sorry. Ala-club Dread band.
MAPUA - Kidja. Nice suit. Too bad for them. Thanks for the compli tickets though, c/o that girl.
CEU - Uhm. Did they play?
UA&P - Selling Side Mirrors. That Dingdong classic really worked for them. With matching full force crowd and the only school with a mascot. How nice. And another strong contender for me.

Before announcing the winner, these are the artists who performed (songs in bold are my fave, some of the for the moment only):
ORANGE AND LEMONS - Hanggang Kailan, Pinoy Big Brother Theme Song, and another one song that i've forgotten. I really swear i've heard Rico Blanco sang.
CAMBIO - DV and 2 other songs. Why did Ebe begged to sit down from this set?
KAMIKAZEE - Chiksilog, Darna Theme Song, and Chinelas. Jay is the real Energizer Bunny. Tinalo na niya si Chito sa showmanship, well... muntik na.
SPONGE COLA - Gemini, Klsp, and Jeepney. I wub gemini.
SUGARFREE - Burnout, Mariposa, Prom, Kwarto, and Hari Ng Sablay. Oh my God. They came. Kahit hindi gwapo si Ebe, I wanna have your baby!
HALE - Broken Sonnet, The Day You Said Goodnight (Goodbye... hehehe), Fix You (Ooo... Coldplay!), and Kailan Pa. When the vocalist is pogi, the crowd loves the the band (especially the teenage girls and the not-so).
PAROKYA NI EDGAR - The Yes Yes Show, Mang Jose, and Buloy. Buo na ang gabi ko, tumugtog na sila e.
BARBIE ALMALBIS - Money For Food, Tabing Ilog, and Nescafe Theme Song. At lalo pang nabuo. She rocks!
KITCHIE NADAL - Same Ground, Wag Na Wag Mong Sasabihin, and another song. U-huh. I heard she's a tomboy.
and BAMBOO - F.U., the devil song?, Mr. Clay, Noypi, Kung Ayaw Mo Wag Mo, Nescafe Jingle, Masaya, and Halleluyah. A grand entrance. But they are still late.

The Sari-sari fashion show was unnecessary. They should have just dressed the performers in Sari-sari fashion and all. The latest coffee from Nescafe is good. Real good.

And the winner is Hilera. This could be the most anti-climatic ending i've seen. They won. The band was wasted. The hosts are wasted (since the start of the program). Combine both factors and you'll see an embarassing ending. Too bad Carpie Diem lost, maybe their originality wasn't that original after all.

Post-program, we all went home after a quick snack at the Star.

Lights out...

Of a-reminiscin' II and then some.

mood: sicky

I just remembered...

- Chezels, Chickadees, and Daimos chiz curls: i love these especially the toys that comes with each pack.
- Old Fiesta Carnival: who would forget their famous uhm... do they have one?
- Panini stickers: i am an avid fan of these stickers. up until now. kinda... my last one is an Nba stickerbook.
- Tira-tira and sundo't kulangot: so sweeeet!
- the Mt. Pinatubo ashfall: when everything turned white.

and here are some one-liners from the recently concluded first round elims of the radio idol.

- Mallrat = rot inside a mall.
- Sung by ano.
- Personal peyborit (in a call-center accent).
- I'm lost with my scripts.
- Patis... tutti frutti flavor.
- Manila's hattest...
- The secan (second) among four brothers.
- The song from 50 cents.
- Somebody said this: "... definitely have what it takes to be a radio idol!" and then she was stinged as "not worthy!"
- Two tattoos... both in the back.
- Hi! I'm ... from the world you wanna know.
- That was boyz II men with on bended knees.
- Hi! my name is and i'm your friend (uy close tayo a).

Will be going to the soundzkool later...

Of a saguijo sa guijo.

mood: dizzy

It was really nice to see the coms group again plus Carl. We went to this "underground" place in Guijo street Makati. The place is called Saguijo (to anyone who came up with that name... very, very creative *snicker*). I remember the time when I went to this art bar in Ortigas called art - something. Same concept. Anyway, Luna's (yep, the same Luna ~ Paraluman Cruz) band is really good. The group was asking me if I had a problem or if i'm getting bored at that time. Reason: I was starting to get sleepy and the music made me sleepy.

I guess this would be all for now. I just lost my fun mojo again.

It really is sad that Marcos will be placed at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (or so i heard). Even the fact that he will be placed there is a big disappointment for me. It is like declaring Hitler or Mussolini as war heroes. I just don't get the Filipino way. We forgive and forget easily.

In addition, Gma and Imelda are friends??? Is this an extension of the era where democracy is a fallacy? I don't think so.

I just want to vent it out here. Sorry friends.

I wasn't able to add these things at my post yesterday:
- Do not use panasonic batteries.
- It took us 58 kilometers of road trippin'.
And I forgot to add the Hardener joke. It goes like this:
We were talking about jobs or something in the sense of occupation of people. And as usual, the Mr. Butt-in in me said, "Buti hindi sya naging hardener.". For a few minutes, everybody agreed with me. Then Bing said, "Ano yan? Pinaghalong hardinero at gardener?". Laughter after. That hirit came out naturally.

And earlier at the morning rush, Chico said that the english of Upo is Ups and Patola as Patols. Panalo talaga.

Of a Batangas trip: Epilogue.

mood: nosy

Even if I lacked precious sleep...
Even if I'm cash-strapped (or so)...
Even if I know they'll interview me about something...
Even if I have to miss that La Salle game...
Even if I was absent at a birthday party...
Even if I wasn't able to help our house...
Even if I wasn't able to finish watching the House of Flying Daggers...
Even if the idea of being stranded because of the weather...
Even if my father is sick...

Now, that's a lot of excuses. I could even add a few more but I know the idea is there.

So we (Bing and Joy, Dek and Ella, Eyen and Lod) had a birthday trip last weekend. We went to Balai sa Laiya in San Juan, Batangas (ok. it wasn't Balai, Batangas or Laiya Batangas as previously mentioned to my friends and family). A few others failed to show up due to the following reasons: heart-ache and work.

I believe I have to make-kwento na lang the trip in my p.o.v..

Okay, so we left Manila at 830 in the morning while listening to the Morning Rush. I was so disappointed that time because I wasn't able to listen to the last day of the elims of the Radio Idol. But it doesn't really matter. And while waiting for Dek, i've seen Jojo (a Lamb Core) and I know he knows something that he thinks I don't know but I know what he's thinking and it really didn't bother me if he knew what was it. And off we went.

In the vehicle, the usual hi's and hello's and how's your lovelife came up. I wouldn't ponder much on this part of the trip. Anyway, I really think that the mp3 revolution is here. 2 (or was it 3) of the people that are in the vehicle has an mp3-man (an mp3 walkman...) and I had my usual dose of mp3's too (i'm using old school. cd-mp3 player with 9 hours of pure unadulterated music). And I loved the birthday boy for doing this: he drove for three hours straight. I've noticed two more things when we were traveling. I've finally seen the De La Salle-Lipa campus (and that huge Lyceum campus too!) and the increase of the gasoline price everytime we enter a different city or province.

After the trip, the place. The things that I liked about the resort are: corteous staff, the design of the place, the buffet table, and "first-class" restrooms. I guess the only bad thing that I can say about the place is actually not the place itself but the road pointing to the place. It wasn't cemented and I believe that's 2 kilometers worth of bumpy-ass ride.

As Lod said "Ang bagal talaga ng oras dito." It was quite true. We were really killing time there. We've managed to be like pigs during the first day because the activities that we did that time was sleep and eat. And then eat and sleep. And before anything else, I used again my extra senses to choose which rom is better for me. And I chose room number 4. It was quite frunny. As you see, for obvious reasons, Dek and Ella and Bing and Joy shared respective rooms because they are couples. But on our part, Eyen and I ended up on a same room. The thing is Lod is queer and it would be more feasible of Lod and I or Eyen and Lod shared the same room. I think this is a Puerto Galera hangover. Actually I was really scared of Eyen during the sleeping hours because having the idea of her raping me is a horrible idea (just kidding eyen... hehehe). And before lights out, I had a bottle (or less) of SML.

Second day came and I woke up at 4 in the morning. I don't know why. I just woke up. I went to this area where I would be waiting for the sun to rise. I've managed to finish the book that I'm reading for quite some time (around a year?) and got some quiet time for myself. This is really a good place to relax and meditate. It was refreshing to see the sun rise and grabbed a few Vit-d's myself during the process. 8 am came and we went swimming. The water was clear (somekinda) during this time. The water turned dark during the afternoons (and nights maybe) and I don't know the natural occurence of that. During swimming, i've almost drowned and my swimming skills really kicked in. It's about survival man! And then we went home at 2 in the afternoon.

During the two days that we were there, i've learned the following things:
- There is a place called Aroma Magic Cream and beach and resort.
- Joey Lina's actual last name is Magdangal. (I need the email for this. Paging Lod or Eyen!)
- Even a dessert vendor (the one who sells espasol, macapuno, etc) can be very persuasive to the point of beating the skills of a call center outbound agent.
- The buffet table is for everybody. It is impolite to bring the dessert on our table. There might be other guests around.
- Making fun of a 27-year old soltera is really F-U-N.
- Never eat a lot of fish. I might puke after.
- Patience is a virtue. If you weren't able to buy a pasalubong near the place where you had your vacation, look for a Colette store in a gas station.
- Every gas station along the SLEX stretch has a coffee store.
- Dogs are kind in Batangas.
- People really wake up early in this side of the Philippines.
- A simple life doesn't necessarily mean that they are technologically helpless. Cellphones are able to be seen in this part of the country.
- Always bring medicine.

...and during the entire 2 days, 1 night vacation... nature excused us from the rain pestilence.

Thanks to Dek Tinawin for this trip. Even if I doled out a part of it from my wallet, I tell you pare, the trip is really worth it. Galing nyo talaga ni Ella. Lupit nyong maghanap ng place. Sa uulitin! Oh, and advanced happy birthday to you dude. You're 25 years old already, kelan ka maga-ala Naguit?

Thanks again to the Balaiya-ers: Dek, Ella, Bing, Joy, Eyen, and Lod. I really had a wonderful time with you guys. Hopefully, expectedly?, more trips like these in the future.

Welcome back, reality!

Of a Batangas trip: Prologue.

mood: excited

I haven't had any sleep much for the past few days. I have to get back to my usual sleeping schedule.

Bought some dvd's (closer, i am sam, house of flying daggers, & mary poppins) yesterday. Also, I bought a pair of shoes because I really need some rubber shoe overhaul.

And then, i'm off to Batangas.

An update: I am really upset right now. My father is sick and he did something very Robin Hoodly. God help us.

9.16.2005

Of a calendar of activities mode.

mood: somekinda awake

Okay. This is going to be a round weekend for me. Including some days next week.

I'm considering Friday a part of my weekend dose. So here goes:

Friday --> I have to watch the latest season of Survivor (or was it Amazing race?). I wish it would be interesting so that I have something to wait every week. Then, I have to meet the dvd guy for the dvd's (isn't it obvious?) after work. I believe I would get good copies because i've already bought a few titles from him.

Commercial: Dumplings Three is one the sickest movies i've seen so far. It literally made me grossed out. To the point of puking and losing my appetite.

And then, I'm going to give Cessie my application to SVI.

Saturday --> I'll be in Balai, Batangas. Wherever that is. I really don't know where they are taking me. I'm going with the La Salle pips by the way. This is a two-day affair. So, i'll be back on Sunday. I hope nothing bad would happen. Having the rain omen is not good.

Monday --> I need to go home early for my criminal case.

Thursday --> Same with the activity on Monday.

Sadly, I won't be able to go to Macy's birthday and Php's Board game activity. Promise, I'll make bawi next week for the basketball shoot-out and the quidditch demo game if it would push through.

I just found out that there is such a thing called Hershey's balls.

Okay. I won't upload the image of the strip. Instead, you have to click THIS. Check it out.

And also, to anybody who's kind enough to share their latest yahoo messenger, please contact me. Please? I can't download it in my pc.

Now i know the meaning of soltera, thanks to ivy...

Of a beerkada extra trial version.

mood: still sleepy

I want to add my beerkada guesting strip but I believe I still have some problems with the image. I'll try to post it here soon. My first attempt didn't work. Gotta edit it again.

Grabbed a 10th place hot 10 finish yesterday...

9.13.2005

Of a few thoughts VI.

mood: cold

Sports news first.

Manny Pacquaio won against the clean-fighting Mexican, Velasquez. It really is fun and exciting to see to people beating each other to the point of blood oozing from their faces. And wouldn't it be nicer when this is shown during lunch time. Morales really sucked, good for him... and us.

Regarding the DLSU-UE issue, what's new. Ever since I entered college, the UAAP board really hated La Salle's guts. The Cortez issue. The Cardona issue. The Arana fight issue. The Gaco issue. And more issues in the past (gotta get some tissue *hikbi*). And then this issue. The funny thing is some members of the UAAP board are not even familiar with the basketball rules. I have nothing against with the other schools but why pick on La Salle? And I just don't get it. They didn't even answer La Salle's question "Did Coach Franz call a timeout?". A matter of yes or no question. And they answered or. (for the anti-la salle pips out there. hello!)

I heard Agassi lost to Federer. I should have seen that game.

And I hope Alonso wins this Belgian (am i right?) lap. I read that he didn't get the pole position. Damn!

Another and, to the Php badminton players, sorry if I wasn't able to play. I was also looking forward for this game. Sayang!

Regarding music, radio idol's back!

It was the first day yesterday and my mom and me was laughing during the process of the first day of the first round. Some of them were really hilarious. There wasn't any noticeable boo-boo. But if I could remember one, i'll surely post it here.

Will get the dvd's later. I hope it wouldn't rain as hard as yesterday.

I think I lost my fun mojo.

9.11.2005

Of a timaua night out.

mood: still sleepy
movies watched the past week: kwaidan; super size me; superbabies: baby geniuses 2; monster-in-law; sinbad: legend of the seven seas; my boss's daughter; peter pan (2003); the big bounce; red eye; the fighting temptations; ong-bak; alexander

This one will surely be going for the books. The story was like this, the Coms group along with Mr. T and Celena ate dinner at Mcdonalds last night. We were a bit hungry because we haven't eaten yet due to the play by Celena (or sumthin' like that). While dining, we had our usual chit-chats and laughs and then there was this usual pairing by the B-sisters to Bj. Cessie said "Ako legal wife nya." after the bit with Criscel. And then I suddenly had the urge (and did it) to say the following words to Mr. T, "Ikaw naman legal shocker." Man, that really was a classic.

Okay. When was the last time i've seen a play live? Well, I really can't remember. Maybe, way back in college. I think it was the Anatomiya of something-something. Finally, after a few years, i've seen another one. Courtesy of Celena. The play was entitled Timaua.

Before going there, let's tackle the "experience" before the play.

I've decided to bring (okay... it's drive to the wise-asses out there) my car (that's not my car it's our car) to the venue. The play is located at the U.P. Diliman campus so I really need to bring it along because I have no idea how to get there (and vice-versa) in one piece. So, the Coms group met @ Sm Mega and then... off we go. It was still hot when we were traveling and I felt an omen coming during this time. Alas, I had an overheat. I really would like apologize to the Coms bunch for the delay and the car. It was really a hassle for everybody and I was really embarassed with what happened. I just don't want to go to U.P. in a puv basis. I really find it hard especially during the night to travel to certain places.

Still. Before the play. So, I know that God, now, is guiding us during all this time (read: overheat). And when we arrived at the site. I really thanked Him. We went up to the second floor and it hit me. U.P. buildings are really filled with spirits and elementals. I swear. Everywhere I used my line-of-sight i felt them. Even inside the theatre. Thank God i'm not the only one with that "power". Even Criscel has one too. And her was far worse. *laugh*

Anyway, about the play. I just found the first part interesting. Even though that there are some minor flaws: buckling (nag-ba-buckle), stuttering, and low projection of voice. Kudos to the Tikbalang person (mabuhay ang mga bakla!). Regarding the second part, here's my reaction: I really wish that you guys should have shown an episode of MKM or MMK.

The 80 bucks was worth it. Really. (I'm still expecting a 70 peso rebate. hehe).

Oh. Another thing. Here's a shocker for the conservative (like me). Before the start of the play the announcer went on like this: Mahigpit po naming pinagbabawal ang pagkain, paninigarilyo at pagtatalik sa... A what? Did I hear that correctly? And yes, it was it.

Wow. That was a night. I guess it was a night to remember. To the Coms group, it was really fun. Alam nyo na yun.

And sadly I wasn't able to play badminton today. Something came up. Sorry to the Huff pips and, I guess, the Gryffs too. For us to default the game. Sorry again.

Leah's extra spag sauce and cheese at Mcdo really worked! Try it!

9.10.2005

Of a map mode.

mood: dizzy

How do I get to U.P.? I need some help. Help! I really need a map of the U.P. campus.

I'm feeling the bad feeling again and it seems it hasn't happened yet. I just wish there was a way to find out what it is.

I really want to scream. As in scream "SCREAM!". I need to release this foreign energy.

Badminton game tomorrow... I hope we win.

9.08.2005

Of a pink eye.

mood: creepy

The coms group, once again, had a night out. And this time we went to watch a movie. At first, the sisters wanted to watch that hunk, Ledger boy, but I told them I would like to watch the hot chick, Mcadams (kapatid ni Mcdonald). Oh hot chick, Mcadams was in that movie. Anyway, the movie was really short. Here're my comments:

*Again, the movie was really short.
*The story was hanging. C'mon, are they planning a red eye 2? The antagonist was shot but we didn't see him die.
*The story has no closure. What happened to the foreign bad guys? What happened to Batman?
*It wasn't clear who wants to kill who.
*Why the hell did I watch this movie? An above average rating for the American audience and yet the movie doesn't classify there. And yes, this looks like a B-movie.
*I didn't like Mcadams dress. They should fire their costume designer/s.
*The trailer is better than the movie.

I guess we should have watched The Longest Yard or Klein's new movie or Manny P.'s kamao film. This is a better-to-see-in-dibidi-movie.

Malls should change the price for the movie entrance? It's way too expensive. I expect in the future that movie houses would close eventually.

What happened to the hot 10 lately? No list last Wednesday. And yesterday, I can't relate with the alcohol topic. Oh my.

I really would like to post something here, but I can't do it...

Of a finished weekend.

mood: still feeling bad

To all the people who've watched a or some or all of the movies show on the J-horror Eiga Sai festival: go here for the sypnosis of all the movies.

The COMS group, after the Badminton game, went to the Shang (again? for the third straight day) to watch an 8 pm movie, which is Kwaidan. It was three hours and we were all expecting that it was worth the wait. And to our luck, another old movie. Good God. To my luck, l've managed to survive a three hour movie with my muscles aching at the side and mr. sleepy head calling out my name.

A snapshot from the movie Pulse

I have (a) new movie/s to look for. Tomie 1 and 2. Really.

To the person who had my day bright (<-- sarcastic remark) yesterday. I hope you understand that you really need to control your temper. I'm still trying to figure out if I can really forgive you (insert smiley here).

And to the other person: if you can read this right now. As i've said, I don't want any fights anymore. you know the consequence for that. 'nuff said.

Y? O Y?

Acknowledgement: Thanks to L for the pix.

Of a movie week-end(?).

mood: irked
movies watched this week: dodgeball; joe's apartment; matchstick men; the three musketeers; white chicks; the new swiss family robinson; finding neverland; yotsuya ghost story; the ugetsu story; hot shots; haunted school; tomie: rebirth

This was a hell of a week. I think i've tired my eyes so much that i'm going blind while watching a lot of movies. Yes. I would like to call this the movie week.

Now, have any of you heard the "festival" Eiga Sai (Or Egai Sai for me). A Japanese movie festival of some kind. And this year the theme for the festival are all about horror movies. So, happy me, i've actually planned for this event for more than a month. In fact, I was trying to make-aya everybody to watch those Japanese movies. And I was in luck because my Php friends wanted to watch these films also. So, Wednesday came. Cessie told me that the Wednesday showing of the first movie @ the Shang is purely invitational only. So, I told them that let's move it on Friday (and at the same time we could talk about the upcoming Badminton game/s). So (hey! a bunch of so's here), we started to watch it on Friday @ 2 in the afternoon. And then, the movies:
--> Yotsuya Ghost Story = an old movie with an old horror concept. I swear Nginig has a better story than this one.
--> The Ugetsu Story = Oh my God. Another old movie. 1954 (or 1953) to be semi-exact. Tried to keep awake through the whole of the movie. Yes, i survived.
--> Pulse = Thank God. A new one. Enter internet era. It was quite interesting even though the movie needs to be thought of. And luckily for me (inserted sadistic comment) I wasn't able to finish it. I had to go brush up my allergy.

Enter Saturday:
--> Haunted School = I think I saw the giant from Jack and the Beanstalk. I think I saw Donkey Kong. I think I saw Aliens. I think I saw the Predator. I think I saw the makings of another Michael Jackson.
--> Tomie: Rebirth = Oh yes. I vividly remember that we are going to watch a movie consisting of the horror spices. But what is it that I see? Blood. Broken Fingers. A walking head (Yes, a walking head with arms).

So, what is the moral of the story? I really don't know but I somehow enjoyed Pulse even though that I wasn't able to finish it. And amused by the Rebirth movie even though my eyes were telling me "close it" "close it". And thank God I wasn't able to snore loudly.

Where's the Grudge concept? Where's the Eye concept? Where's the Ring concept?

Napiga nang lahat.

Seen the Beerkada bunch earlier and I hope Mr. L uploads my shy pictures.

Yesterday was the best. I think two bottle of beer (/s... hehe) are on the way. Mr. allergy would you like to come fly with me and i'll push you off the plane? Oh pretty please?

Negatives are not welcomed...

Of a few thoughts V.

mood: ready to fall asleep

My mom told me that she's going to resign. She's going to work until the last day of September. The moment she told me that she's retiring (for good?) I felt a sudden surge of helplessness. I will be the head of the family. I will be the breadwinner. Now, I really have to find a good job that can sustain our daily life. Oh God, please help me pass through with this ordeal. I'm not that scared because we've experienced this before when my mom was retrenched during my college days. But I find this one different. I am now considered as the provider. I can do this. *positive thinking*

Now, for some movie thoughts. I've been rummaging my cd's recently and at the same time listed all of the titles that I own. And I think i'm missing the following titles:
1. The Ring American version
2. Battle Royale
3. My Sassy Girl
At the same time, I can't remember the titles of the dvd's that I lent to Gracielle. So, I hope you can read this right now and return my stuff. All the cd's and some of my comic compilations. I just want everything to be listed.

I am such an oc-oc.
