Of an ad.

--=+=--
I've watched The Meaning of Life last night at HBO. I was really surprised that HBO has shown this movie. I wasn't really expecting it. And I expected that there'll be cuts. I was right. There was no Part II. The part where John Cleese taught the class sex ed was removed. Also, the part regarding the protestant couple and the Catholics. I'm not sure about the part with the guy and the daugthers. Too bad though. And the worst way to die was shortened.
Too bad. Oh well. Our cable distributors suck. Our "moral" governing body suck. We are still immature.

Don't blame media. Blame the parents.

3.22.2007

Of a mid-weekday post.

There was a scene in Heroes that really made me cringe.
This can be found in Episode Godsend.

Elder Petrelli and that Japanese hunk conversing...
Japanese Hunk: You were flying... (with matching hands zooming across his face...)
Elder Petrelli: Make it lower (pertaining to Japanese' voice)
Japanese Hunk: (lowers hand and then made that zooming motion again...)

Classic.

3.21.2007

Of an early post.

I'm still sleepy and I would like to lay down on my bed and close my eyes and dream that I'm working. Eh?

--=+=--

Let's talk about politics. Let us think about the taxes that politicians use for their own personal use. Let us think that people like Richard Gomez or Manny Pacquaio would use PRECIOUS government fund for their so-called-projects. Let's not talk about about politics.

3.20.2007

Of a read.

Isn't it nice when you read people and they don't know it? I mean, you're not plastic or anything, you're trying to determine how this person thinks, what he/she thinks of you, etc.

--=+=--

I think that's the good offense. A good offense is a good defense. If we know how to do it we shouldn't abuse it. Just like my momma always tell me (Ze always ve sthreet-shmart a).

--=+=--

Again, this is another serious post. I don't know why. Am I maturing? Am I in the final stages of my life? Am I going to die? Or am I entering the cocoon stage and become one of the most beautiful moths that live in this atmosphere.

I hope not.

Of a "hell" week

This title is usually used in college. Wherein you have a lot of deadline of reports, theses, etc. etc. etc. I don't know if you can use this in college. I have no idea and I don't care.

--=+=--

Fast forward to real hell. Oh yeah, I'm in hell right now. I'm not angry or ungrateful or whatever. This is where i'm in now. You can give me a few more months and i'll be one of the demons. The transformation may be short but I can atest to thee that I would be living in the netherworld that I didn't see before.

--=+=--

Honestly, i'm happy. I don't know why. But i'm happy.

3.14.2007

Of my fave pc games.

I can't think of anything to write and I ended up with this one... All are based on my memory only and everything are in no particular order.

--=+=--

Nba Live - I'm a basketball fanatic and given my physical features, obviously, I can't play the game. I love playing this with a real person. I can't really say which year/version is better. I haven't played the latest (2k6? or 2k7) but I really love to do some destiny again.

Pirates! - Sid Meier is great. Really, really great. This is a good game for everybody. Young and young adults like me. This is a fun game for everyone. A mixture of everything. I just hate the part with the dancing though but I love the sword fights and the ship fights.

Bomberman 2000 - I'm not really familiar with its actual title. I just love bomberman with real people as the competition. If I can remember it correctly, i've played this game around seven years ago and I would gladly play this again. (This is the third game and I think my comments suck).

X-men Legends II - Various X-men titles were released and none of them proved greatness (except of course that arcade version but that's another story). This is the second installment and I got a copy of this game last year and spent precious time playing it. I just love this game. Mixing four x-men characters (enemies included) in an adventure-strategy game is awesome.

Rogue Spear - One of the FPS games that I was really hooked with. I can't say much with this game. This is one of your usual FPS soldier games but I really adored how it is played.

Need For Speed Underground 2 - Included are the succeeding titles for this game. I love the decals. I love the paint jobs. I love the crashes. I love the speed. And Brooke Burke (Brooke who?).

Civilization - I just love the series. I was hooked with this game circa 1997. I was still in high school when this came out and that turn-based strategy really made something in the PC game industry. Don't we all want to be the president or the Czar or whatever. Don't we all want to take the whole world in our hands. And don't we want to nuke every city in the world. The only game that is really educational.

Worms - I first encountered this game side by side with Scorched Earth. Don't you love those little wiggly worms who say "Hadouken"? Evolved versions of this game proved its quality. I really can't forget the Old Lady or the Holy Bomb. Kamikazee baby!

Quake 2 - CS are for sissies. This is a real FPS game. If you want to play a realistic game. Play paintball. Or piko.

Day of the Tentacle - One of the first click and point games that I played. Circa 1996? It is the best game ever. The idea that made this into a game is really undescribe-able. Who could forget Bernard, Laverne, and Hoagie. Transported in three different "time" and turned into an adventure CAP game. Brilliant.

Heroes of Might and Magic - The nerdness and geekness in me has to add this game. I've been an AD&D player. I know the works. I just find it weird that AD&D has made it in every household (those damn MMORPG's). Anyhows, Heroes will always be on my list. I'm gonna pet my bone dragon then.

Monkey Island - CAP games rule. Lucasarts rule. Threepwood's a wuss. I love Murray! Four titles and hopefully a fifth one for the fan in me. I wanna play it again.

Starcraft - This is the only strategy game with the word balanced in it.

I wanna play.

Of learnings.

I learned that if you're dead and you need papers. You still need a sedula and a barangay clearance.

--=+=--

I learned that hiccups can be contageous.

3.09.2007

Of an officer.

Goodbye Captain America.

Is he the first known Marvel hero who is officially dead? Wait, I just remembered. Professor X.

Who's next? Spidey? The Fantastic Four? Heathcliff?

3.08.2007

Of an animaniac.

Back in the 90's there was a show called Animaniacs. I just love watching this show, next to the Simpsons, of course.

--=+=--

It was shown in channel 9, ergo, it wasn't really known to everybody (or something like that). Besides, there are only two VHF channels in the Philippines.

--=+=--

Recently, I got a season (piracy is the best policy) and I still appreciated the animation. The Warner brothers and their sister Dot, the Goodfella-pigeons, Hellloooo Nurse, Pinky and the Brain, etc.

--=+=--

I just love their humor. Very "adult". Just like Adult Swim, Futurama, and Celebrity Deathmatch. Thank God for "adult" animation i'm still alive.

--=+=--

What? Another useless post... (You're wasting internet bandwidth).

3.07.2007

Of a choice.

I'm choosing right now if i'm going to post a "funny" or a serious or a nonsense post. I still don't have an answer with this one.

--=+=--

Just like that old man in Hogwarts who said, "Snape... do me..." err... I mean the other thing that he said that I don't remember that is related with choices. Or it has something to do with "It is up to you Harry boy about the choices that you will you in your life"... Something like that.

--=+=--

It is up to us if we want to start our day happy. It is up to us if we would keep grudges with people that we hate. It is up to us if we will make "patol" the people that would do something un-nice to us. And it is our choice if we would be affected by the people around us.

--=+=--

I hate it when people say that they had no choice. If you had / have no choice with what happened to you, then why the hell did it happen to you? Are you stupid with the idea of choice?

(This alcohol is kicking in)

--=+=--

I have no point with this point. Just thinking out in print.

3.06.2007

Of a movie weeke... eh...

I had the time to watch three movies yesterday (one more last Sunday).

--=+=--

The Prestige is good despite some loopholes. The idea may be farfetched but the way the story was told was really good. Scarlet J wasn't really of a factor in this movie (acting wise). I liked Cutter. He played safe all throughout the movie. In my opinion, he just used his brain. He wasn't that obsessed with magic tricks, unlike the two protagonists/antagonists who played Spy Vs. Spy the whole movie.

Moral of the story: Magicians kill each other all the time.

--=+=--

Flushed Away is fairly good too. I was doing something while watching this one, so I wasn't really paying attention to the movie. I don't remember any big scene in that movie. Just a lot of spoofs. From X-men to James Bond to whatever. I'm also not a fan of soccer (maybe if this is rugby) so I really felt that the movie is not that worth watching. And mice or rats or frogs ain't that cute enough.

Moral of the story: Don't swim in the toilet bowl, you might get flushed.

--=+=--

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels rule! This movie rule alongside with Trainspotting. I just love these kind of movies. (So, if this movie really rule... why can't I write anything else about this movie?) Well, the movie's old.

Moral of the story: You have to buy antique shotguns.

--=+=--

I still find Papa Leo better than Forest. But The Last King Of Scotland is a good movie. Amin is reminiscent of a person that we all know. He doesn't listen to other people and he's too omni-proud =). All in all, I felt like I was watching Hotel Rwanda again. Is it really like that in those countries? Sad.

Moral of the story: If you wanna kill a person, shoot him in the head. Don't use hooks.

3.05.2007

Of a slam.

Slam card provision from 7-11 has ended. I'm still missing some.

S.C. #'s missing: 03, 07, 10, 12, 14, 17, 21, 27, 33, 34, 36.

--=+=--

One of those useless posts...

--=+=--

Movies watched this week: Stranger Than Fiction, Brother Bear, The Holiday, He Was Cool,Stuart Little 2, South Pacific, True Romance, Epic Movie, Pan's Labyrinth, The Messengers, Ghost Rider, Happy Feet, The Prestige

3.02.2007

Of a piracy.

What if pirated books were also available?

I was thinking of this concept earlier. I know we have pirated dvds and I think that books should be given the same exposure.

I know that there are e-books already. But the purpose for this one is for the 'masa' crowd. The people who don't have desktops, laptops, palms and high-falluting cellphones.

Imagine this, we have cheap books left and right. We won't wait for a lifetime to wait for that seventh book. We can buy those latest badly needed books for less than a hundred bucks.

There are booksales and those Manila vendors who sell cheap books. But can we find the books that we need in those places? Usually... no.

And every piracy of course has a downside. We might get a wrong book 7 (remember those people in India who has everything? Like Harry Potter and the Pasador of Snape or whatever). We might buy a book with a font of 8. Or we might get that latest Dan Brown novel without the last chapter.

...here i go again. another useless post.

3.01.2007

Of a relationship.

This is the hardest thing i've done in my life. You can't look back. You can make mistakes but it will always be there. You can't return it. Once you have it, you have to keep it. It doesn't come and go. It is permanent unless you remove it from your life.

--=+=--

Despite the grievances and innuendos, I still appreciate and I still love it when i'm in a relationship. I guess it always give us the two sides of the coin. I am happy. I am very very happy. (Look at my mole... 'i remember yesterday, the world was so young'... lolo... u-sa..)

--=+=--

Whenever "adults" give me things about the relationship, they always give me this: Once you step in a relationship always remember that if you can take the things that you hate with your partner then you can live with her "forever".

--=+=--

Why am I posting this? Why? It's happy hearts day! Happy Valentines!!!!

...wait... that was more than 2 weeks ago.

April Fools!
