Of inuman time.

Gone are the days when guys would talk about sexist stuff or guy stuff during drinking sessions (maybe due to the fact that guys really don’t talk about anything interesting unlike a girl’s night out wherein they talk about some nitty-gritty stuff that men would love to listen to… or not. The not part pertains to feminine stuff that men wouldn’t want to hear… really)

A typical conversation would be like:

Yung My Sassy Girl.

Marami pang ibang maganda. Nandyan yung My Boyfriend is Type B, Too Beautiful To Lie…

Guy 2: Pero ok naman yung My Sassy Girl diba?

Guy 1: Nakakakilig tulad ng My Big Love at A Very Special Love?

All: Oo…

(wala lang…)

So, I was watching Stephen King’s Desperation the other day and my mom just got back from work. We were going to eat (the television is viewable by the dining area) when she said,

Momma: Wala bang Tagalog dyan?

This movie had subtitles in it. What I did then was…

(Subtitle: I think he needs some help…)

(Subtitle: But he needs to enter that room!)

Moi: Ngunit kailangan nyang pumasok sa kwartong yan!

Momma: Tado, hindi yang Tagalog na yan. Yung sa channel 2…

(wala lang talaga…)
