Posted last night. What happened with Blogger? Anyways...

Me and my mom were watching Ariel and Maverick's show "wala yan sa lolo ko". The show was, yes, corny, as most of today's comedy shows. Anyway, I wasn't really that interested but the term "lolo" sells to my mom. So, I had to watch it with her instead of watching "A retrospective with the jack-asses" in Mtv. Now, the guests for the show are Madame Auring and Archie (??). And the show went on like this.

Maverick: So, madam Auring kumusta po kayo.
M. Auring: Salamat at... blah blah blah. Buti na lang nasa tabi ko ang aking mga paborito, si Ariel at si Maervic.

Okay, that went on not once but twice. I'm not sure if Madame Auring is doing it on purpose. And now its Archie's turn.

Ariel: Hello Archie. Blah blah.
Archie: Alam nyo Ariel and Maervic.

Okay. That's enough. Wait. Laughter by the mother and son duo.

And now I was enticed to watch the show. But, the crowd kept on telling the hosts or the guests (i'm not sure) for M. Auring and Archie to kiss.

I'm a bit grumpy lately. No, grumpy. I think i've been hating a lot of people lately that i'm beginning to forget that they have feelings also. Maybe, the perfectionist in me is acting up again. I just want everything to be finished in time and I don't want it to have any delays. Because if I put my mind in to something, surely it will be finished. But if ever I start something and time delays it, surely it won't be finished.

If these people think that i'm railroading them then i'm terribly sorry for what i've done. I'm only human.

Analuna is a soap opera during the eighties (or the nineties, not sure). I wached this before due to the fact that there aren't any other shows during that time. No cable. No uhf channels. Just plain drama crap.

Anyhows, I was browsing the Libre newspaper and I saw a lady who looks vaguely familiar. I checked out her name. It is Joanne Miller, the sister of Macy in the series. Just to verify, I read out the article (she was the babe of the week) and found out that she is that actress.

In addition, she's included on the upcoming movie, Big Hit.

I don't get it. Why are people dodging answers? You can't get a straight answer from anybody. Is it that hard? If I ask you a question answerable by yes or no, would you answer yes? or no?

As promised, here's my take on Bob Ong's latest book.

I have things in my mind that I want to say but I just don't know how to write them chronologically. So, here-goes here-goes my reaction.

I just finished the book exactly 24 hours ago and it was really quite a read. The usual Bob Ong style is still there. I found this one the easiest read. Why? I just don't know. Maybe because i'm not a writer. Or there aren't any much negative parts written in the book.

In general, the book is funny (obviously) and here's one part that made me laugh. This is a question in the book:

Sa anong paraan naging comedy ang "The Ring"? Kung itataob mo sa balon ang telebisyong lalabasan ni Sadako, magpapaikut-ikot na lang ba s'ya sa balon at TV? Bigyang buhay at isadula ang pangyayari.

This question made me remember one of Lyndon's strip. The one where Alan made a thesis about a cat and buttered toast. You add the two and you throw them at the sky. Etc. Etc. Jutst got bored telling the story.

Anyways, I think this latest book of Bob Ong is a farewell book of some sort. Looks like he would try to stick with another genre and have a new pseudonym. His fourth book wasn't as much of a hit (Alamat ng gubat, planning to buy). For me, he should stick with his fiction/non-fiction area.

This book is just inspiring for writers in general. It doesn't matter if there are a lot of typos (I found one in his book). What really matter is the new age idea that you can offer to the public. Too bad we Filipinos are too choosy when it comes to books. Like me. Makes me want to buy some other books that I don't usually read (Pinoy made of course).

I guess that would be it. Buy your own copy, because I won't lend you mine. Heh. (damot)

It has been *uhm* days since my last post. I've been too busy lately. Sorta. Yes, i have time for forums. Yes, i have time for checking mails. No, I have no time for blogging (until now). I haven't even finalized my choir's blog. Hopefully, sometime in the very near not so far far away future. I'll be doing it. If it gets lucky my nba time will be replaced by some blogging sessions.

I have been spending a lot for the past few days, around three days perhaps? I bought some dvds and the latest Bob Ong book (you just have to love this guy, will post my reactions this week, regarding the book that is). Will have to pay my cellphone bill later. Now, i'm trying to save some money. I'm planning to buy a new pc this year.

And to make it all better. A fast internet connection for me. *Crossing toes*

I should have blogged a little earlier. I have a lot of things on my mind that I have forgotten already. I really should change my focus to make my life better.

I just remembered, I was going to work the other day when there was this long line around the ABS-CBN compound. I thought that this was a long long long long line for Wowowee-lee (sa Pbb lang pala, joke!). I was very wrong. Unemployed newly graduated Filipinos. Around a thousand perhaps. Or more. I lost count when the tricycle turned left at Morato st.

I am currently addicted to Nestle Crunch + Caramel. If you are going to give me something out of awa. Go ahead. I won't stop you.

And what the heck is this latest Filmfest scam. If they want their actors to win, they should make their own award winning body. They shouldn't join any filmfest (or whatsoever) if they know that their bets aren't going to make it. Make a MLFF for God's sake.

And to make life more meaningful. A showbiz fight by Ethel Booba and Gwen Garci. Sweet.

Serious mode. Anyhows, i'm just alarmed with today's kids. Well, most of the country's child population regarding education. A few years ago, the Probe team had an episode about education and it was very interesting. There were these second year high school students who were interviewed about education. And they were asked simple multiplication problems. And to my dismay three of them doesn't know the answer and one of them had to write down the numbers.

Rizal said "Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan.". It has been more than a century and i'm not sure if we listened clearly to his words.

Just right now, ask any ordinary kid regarding math or science. See if you could get the answer that you wanted. For sure, they would really know R.O., hit points, DOTA, etc. How about the nine (eherm... ten) planets? Or what are our previous and present national birds?

Okay. For sure, one of our major problem in this God forsaken country is politics. Almost every week, a new issue on politics arises. How about us? How about the children?

Yeah, as if they are really doing something about this. They are too busy politicking.

I'm just concerned because i'm a Filipino. And i'm so un-amused when my kababayan can't even answer a simple question in Laban O Bawi.

I hope we wouldn't live in a dying generation...

Looks like my uncle is included as an extra in Zhang Ziyi's latest movie, Memoirs of a Geisha.

From what i've heard he acted as some person with a salakot. Simply, he is the only person with a salakot in that certain scene. It would be really better if i've already seen the film.

I think he was included because certain parts of the scene were filmed right in front of his apartment.

And if you applied as an extra or auditioned as an extra you'll already get some moolah. Bongga diba?

Finally, my impulsive buying technique paid off. I bought my mom a gift earlier at Gateway. It was too pretty and I really had to buy it.

My "special powers" told me to buy this thing and I thought that why should I buy it? Eventually, I ended up with it. I was looking for Didache pa naman (flashback: Patrick Garcia and Jodi Santamaria on Jologs the movie).

So there. I hope she appreciates it.

I know a number of people who'll be celebrating their birthday tomorrow. One of them is my mother and I still don't know what I should give her for her birthday.

Ever since the world began, I was christened with the power of not-knowing-what-to-give giver. I really am sucky when it comes to gifts. I always stick to the wish list of that person. If wish lists' are not available, I readily ask the person what he/she wants for her "insert occassion" here. Buti na lang at hindi world peace ang wish nya.

I still haven't done anything yet with the Choir's blog. I have started but I still don't know if i'm going to tweak the settings or leave it as it is. I'm not even sure if it will be a hit for us. Hoping that blogging would still keep us connected even though that we are all just arms reach.

How about this blog? When am I going to change its appearance? Omg, laziness is kicking in. This is not a year for that. This should be your year. Wait. Every year should be my year.

I have so many feelings right now that might burst into something bad. I just don't know what it is. I'm so easily irritated for the moment and I know that I know why but I just don't want to notice it.

It is the first week of a new year and i'm like this. I think that's not a good thing. I always believed that what happened to you during the first weeks of a new year would happen all year long. Then there was 2005.

Sometimes I just don't get why people do such things. I mean, I know why and what are they doing but I just don't. Forget it.
