Of an Hp6 reaction.

mood: sad

If you happen to be a Harry Potter fan and you wouldn't want any spoilers, stop reading!

Anyway, the PHP event at Fully Booked proved to be a success. Seen a lot of celebrities: Mac Cuan, Paolo and Susie Abrera, Jose Javier Reyes, and Lyn Ching-Pascual. Of all the celebrities that i've seen in the mall, Lyn is the only Harry Potter amongst them all. She even joined our activities to the point of writing down her email address to our mini-Harry Potter activity/game.

Zooming in on the book.

I could say that this is one of the saddest book i've read in my entire life. I'm still affected with what happened to Dumbledore. I guess this was a good call for Rowling. She really killed a main character in book 6 to get the ball rolling. But I find it odd. It looks like Dumbledore knows he is going to die. And the part where Albus is asking to spare his life from Snape, it is quite blurry. I don't get it. Maybe book 7 will give the answers for these inquiries.

Harry and Ginny? Hermione and Ron? I find these somehow obvious from the previous books but a lot of Harry Potter shippers are thinking otherwise. And what happened to Cho Chang, she wasn't even really placed a major character in this book. That was a brave change by Rowling.

What happened to Slughorn during the time when the death eaters entered Hogwarts? He should have done something. Old age perhaps?

A dramatic first and second chapter. Now, this is the Harry Potter series. Just like book 1. It had me hooked until the end.

Snape. What the hell? We had to keep on guessing until book 6. Now, one of the wisest moves by Rowling. This should be a good war. Voldemort as the king and Snape as the queen. I guess in book 7, Harry has to get pass through Snape before Voldie.

Maybe that's all for now. I'm still lamenting on HM's burial.

Two years pa? Hay...

just finished reading the ebook version.

still not sure about snape. before they set off for the cave, dumbledore made harry promise that whatever happens, harry must obey (dumbledore's) orders. what if it's the same with snape?

maybe -- MAYBE-- it was a previous understanding between snape & the dumbledore. in this case, we'll also consider malfoy's predicament which dumbledore's aware of. and the unbreakable vow snape made notwithstanding, it was more the headmaster's insistent "please" that made me think what if...?.

during their duel, snape told harry "... learn to keep your mouth shut and your mind closed, Potter", reminiscent of their occlumency & legilimency sessions.

i better re-read hp6; pahiram ng book. :D
