mood: ridiculously happy
I'm saddened by the death of Jaime Cardinal Sin. I could say that he is one of the most influential religious leaders that this country ever had. I really admire his personality amidst the belief of some (most) Filipinos that he is biased in politics and he shouldn't be intervening with the political arena.
For me... hello? Isn't politics connected with morality? And obviously the Catholic church should be one of the guardians of morality.
Here's a conversation between me and a security guard:
Me: Catholic ka ba?
SG: Oo.
Me: Namatay na pala si Cardinal Sin...
SG: Talaga?
Me: Oo. Kaninang 6:30 ng umaga.
SG: Hindi na kasi ako naniniwala dun e. Simula nung makialam siya kay Erap.
Me:
Do we Filipinos have a problem with short term memory? Do we really care if we are still in the Marcos regime or not?
I guess two of the problems of an ordinary Filipino are: Short term memory and forgetfulness / can easily forgive.
Cardinal Sin had a great impact on everybody during the Edsa revolution. And some people doesn't really care if he did that. They don't care what happened before. Pathetic.
Here's a short theory on why some people are like that. Some (most) people who are living here in Luzon today weren't living here during the Marcos era. They could be living in Visayas or in Mindanao. Due to the news blackout that happened before, they don't really believe that the Marcoses are guilty of the massacres, warrantless arrests, excessive corruption, etc to the common tao.
A follow-up on the ordinary Filipino. If all of us had the marshmallow test, only a number of Filipinos would pass that test. As you can see, regarding the gloriagate issue, people made a big fuss of the audio tape/cd. Since the government made a statement that the cd/tape shouldn't be played in the congress, a lot of people are doing it otherwise.
Filipinos are pasaway in nature. How barbaric.
Can we just go on with our lives?

Of a movie lover's mind.
mood: happy
I've been a movie whore lately. I've seen almost a dozen movies and I think I just can't stop. For starters, i had seen the one, taxi driver, and charlie's angels 2 in vcd (take note: in original vcd) and star wars ep 3 and highwaymen (in dibidi form --> who cares). And then pirates in the caribbean and a david blaine 5 in one (in dibidi) and lost in translation (in orig vcd). After that, I had a dose of ocean's twelve and madagascar (in dibidi) and house of wax in a moviehouse. Wow, what am I doing with my life? At least i'm hooked lately in movies and probably I'll be watching more this coming days.
Regarding the people behind the jueteng probe and etc.: You all suck. Didn't you know that Noli De Castro is next in line if ever GMA is impeached? Hell Yeah!
Belated Happy Independence Day to all of us. Even though we are still tied with foreign creatures at least we are still celebrating something to remind us of. Reminding us that somehow we are free even though that we are still trying to break free. Confusing isn't it?
Women are complicated.

Of some jueteng opinion
mood: maybe unhappy
I just find this funny. A good thing to start my entry. I think. Thanks to the guys who send their Garfield comic subscription to my e-mail.
The latest news on Jueteng is not new. They shouldn't do that Senate inquiry for the investigation. We all know that this will lead to nowhere. Like the Jose Pidal case. I'm not in favor of the Arroyo's doing some illegal stuff but to me that's okay.
Why?
First, if GMA is impeached, who's next for presidency... Noli de Castro. Good God. No. Please...
Second, since GMA won last elections and we all know that we chose the lesser evil... So, here it is. The lesser evil. At least they don't steal (?) from us (taxpayer's money) unlike the deposed 13th president who used our money for their benefit.
Lastly, who can stop Jueteng? C'mon, that's wishful thinking.
So much for being too optimistic...

Of a sms.ac thought.
mood: sleepy-head
How sick are these people? Or I could say how desperate enough are they?
I have a total of six invites in my sms.ac account. I don't actually know these people. They just want to be added to my friends list because I used Baby Bunot's (that mtb starlet) picture as my profile.
Hello? I'm not looking for anybody's attention.
I'm just crazy.
I wanna watch SW ep 3...
